Principal's Message

Dear Cougar Families,

Welcome to the new school year! We're thrilled to have you in our school community and look forward to an exciting year of growth and learning.

Our theme for this year is "Everyone Has a Story." By truly getting to know each of our students, we can build a stronger, more inclusive community where everyone feels a sense of belonging. Our staff is committed to learning about each student's unique background, interests, and aspirations to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.

This year, we're introducing two new programs to enhance our students' educational experience: ST Math and Freckle. These innovative tools will allow our teachers to personalize learning for each student, ensuring that everyone can progress at their own pace and reach their full potential.

We have had some staff changes over the summer. Mr. Ko is going to serve as our Title 1 Specialist. Mrs. Hererra is now going to serve as a TK teacher in our new TK class. Ms. Holton moved from 1st grade to 2nd grade. I am confident they will all do great in their new roles.

We have some new staff joining us this year. We are so excited to welcome them into our Collegewood community.

-Ms. Siobhan McGough, 5th Grade.
-Ms. Sara Krawiec, 1st Grade
-Mrs. Iris Magboo, Visual and Performing Arts
-Ms. McQuilkin , Primary Special Education

We're excited about the opportunities this year will bring and look forward to working together to make it a great one for all our Cougars.

Here's to a fantastic school year filled with growth, discovery, and meaningful connections! Go Cougars!

As our returning families know, I am very active on social media to share with our community all of the amazing things happening during the school day. Please follow us!
